Frequently asked questions
If you can’t find your answer, write to us; we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Our office is in Kartal, Istanbul. We work closely with companies on the Anatolian side of Istanbul (Kartal, Pendik, Tuzla, Maltepe, Kadıköy, Ataşehir, Ümraniye) and with manufacturers in industrial zones such as Gebze, Dilovası, İMES and Mermerciler. We also serve clients across Türkiye and abroad online.
Logo and corporate identity, brand consulting, catalogue and graphic design, printed products (folders, bags, notepads, diaries, boxes and packaging), promotional products, trade fair design and preparation, websites and mobile apps, social media, digital advertising and SEO, factory and corporate films, photography and Onfik Smart digital card systems — all planned from one creative point of view.
Since 2010 our strongest field has been industry and manufacturing: steel and metal, machinery, energy, plastics, chemicals, food and maritime companies. We know what a factory needs to highlight, how to explain a technical product simply and how to work inside a production environment. We also work with service, retail and non-profit organisations.
All three. Farklı Bir Fikir works as an advertising agency and creative design studio; printing and promotional production is run by our own brand Farklı Bir Promosyon, and digital card systems by Onfik Smart. One team is responsible from idea to production.
Yes — most of our clients work with us this way. Everything from logo to catalogue and from website to fair stand follows the same identity and one plan, removing the coordination burden and inconsistency of multiple suppliers.
Fill in the contact form or call us. After a short call about your needs, goals and timing, we send a written quote covering scope, timeline and budget.
The payment plan and the number of revision rounds are stated clearly in the written quote, based on the scope, so both sides know exactly what is included before work starts.
We are used to fixed deadlines such as fairs, launches and events. Because one team manages both design and production, we can shorten timelines — but telling us as early as possible is still the best way to protect quality.
Because a design that looks beautiful on paper but cannot be used in real life is not the right job. A logo is right when it works at every size and on every surface, from a business card to a sign, from embroidery to laser engraving. We apply the same principle to everything from websites to fair stands.
A logo is the first sentence your sales policy says to a customer. Customers usually look at your website, catalogue or presentation before they meet you. If your logo is not original and your colours do not reflect your business, “we deliver quality” is hard to believe.
AI can help generate ideas, but using the result without checking whether it is original or conflicts with a similar or registered trademark is risky. AI output is also usually not vector-based and often fails at small sizes, in one colour or in print.
This is the most common and most expensive mistake we see. A logo resembling another brand may be refused registration, may trigger a legal notice and may force you to change everything from signage to catalogues years later.
Not always. Being able to register a trade name does not mean it can be registered as a trademark. The same or a very similar name may already be registered by another company and may have dominated search results for years. Brand and domain research should be done before the name is finalised.
The right order starts with the name: find the name, check trademark and domain availability, secure the domains and start the application, then design the logo and identity. That way name, logo, domain and social accounts are aligned from the start.
We run trademark registration together with a professional team we work with. We prepare name options, preliminary similar-brand and domain research and a registration-ready logo and file set, and follow the process on your behalf.
If the name is not final yet, choose one whose domain and handles are also available. Otherwise you will need prefixes or suffixes, and your trade name, brand, domain and accounts will drift apart — customers searching for you may find someone else.
All logo variations (horizontal, vertical, one-colour, negative), vector and web files, a colour and typography system, usage rules, core materials such as business cards, letterheads, envelopes and folders, and a brand guide bringing it all together. Logo and core identity take about 3–4 weeks; a full guide and material set 6–8 weeks.
Corporate folders, bags (cardboard, kraft, fabric), notepads, diaries, business cards, letterheads, envelopes, catalogues, brochures, labels, custom-size boxes and packaging, roll-ups, banners and fair prints. Design is done at Farklı Bir Fikir, production at our own brand Farklı Bir Promosyon.
It depends on the product and printing method: digital printing suits small runs, offset and custom production suit larger ones. Tell us your needs and we will state the best method and quantity range in the quote.
Yes. Every job gets a digital approval before printing, and for jobs where colour and material are critical we can also prepare a physical proof or sample.
Yes. We plan the box structure, board and paper choice and print design around your product’s size, weight and shipping conditions. Good packaging is the first salesperson on the shelf.
Yes — we have produced many technical catalogues, especially for industrial companies. We organise product tables, technical drawings and photos so buyers and engineers can find what they need quickly, and deliver them in print and digital form.
Yes. Design is done at Farklı Bir Fikir; production and logistics at our own brand Farklı Bir Promosyon. We offer a wide range — textiles, mugs and flasks, pens, notebooks, tech items and custom gifts — matched to your logo and budget.
The memorable item is the one visitors keep using after the fair. A few quality items that suit your industry and carry your brand well beat lots of cheap giveaways. We recommend planning them together with the stand concept and target visitors.
Ideally 6–8 weeks before. Stand design, catalogues, promotional items and digital business cards have linked production times; starting early protects both budget and quality. We also work to shorter deadlines, but options narrow.
Yes — we manage fair preparation as a single project. Stand graphics, roll-ups and banners, catalogues, giveaways and the digital card/QR system used at the stand follow one identity and one schedule.
Usually 3–6 weeks for a corporate site once content is ready. E-commerce and custom software projects are planned according to scope.
We do not recommend it and do not set it up for any client. Websites are exposed to attacks even with precautions, while your email holds your company’s entire memory. On the same server, a website problem puts your email at risk too. Keep them on separate infrastructures.
If they share hosting, it can be: mailboxes may be accessed, a blacklisted server stops your emails being delivered, and a suspended hosting stops email too. On separate infrastructure, a website problem does not touch your email.
Producing a nice-looking home page is easy now. But a website’s job is to be found by the right people, understood on the first screen and lead visitors to information without boring them. That takes page structure, technical SEO, content and alignment with your identity — exactly what we focus on.
Content should be kept current continuously; design and infrastructure reviewed as technology and your company change. If you refresh your office every few years, your digital face should not stay the same for years. We build sites to be updated after launch.
Yes. On sites we build you can update texts, images, blog posts and references from a management panel, which warns you when a text is too long or an image is the wrong size.
Yes — corporate apps for iOS and Android, catalogue and ordering apps and custom software. Onfik Smart is our own product born from this experience.
Not with a single trick but with several things working together: separate pages answering exactly what people search, a technically sound site, regular original content, an up-to-date Google Business Profile with reviews, and trustworthy links from other sites. AI assistants mostly cite content that shares real experience in a question-and-answer form.
Technical fixes can show within weeks; lasting gains for competitive searches usually take a few months of consistent work. Be cautious of anyone guaranteeing a specific ranking quickly.
Google looks at whether content is helpful, original and trustworthy, not at how it was written. Mass-produced content that adds nothing new is pushed down. That is why we base our content on real project experience.
Google and Meta ad accounts are opened in your name and the budget is spent directly from your account. We set up, manage and report on campaigns regularly; the accounts and data always remain yours.
Yes — that is our main strength in industrial shoots. We plan the shoot around the production flow, decide in advance when each line is filmed, and work quickly and in line with safety rules. We manage the process on site ourselves.
In industrial zones such as Dilovası, İMES, Mermerciler and Gebze, for many heavy-industry companies, especially in steel, metal, machinery and energy.
Yes. For exporters we produce films with voice-over or subtitles in English and other languages, creating several language versions and short social-media cuts from the same shoot.
Not planning the shoot around production, not deciding in advance which strengths to show (capacity, technology, quality control, certificates), neglecting safety equipment, and explaining the product in language viewers cannot follow. We settle all of these with you before the shoot.
Onfik Smart is our smart business platform that brings a company’s digital footprint into one place. Digital cards and catalogues cut costs and stay up to date — but Onfik goes further, turning the people you meet, scanned cards and the knowledge from those relationships into the company’s shared memory.
Contacts met and cards scanned by one employee are shared with authorised colleagues across the company. Even if a number is not saved on your phone, you see the caller’s name if it is in the company directory. You can also see whether someone is already saved, who met them before and duplicate scans.
When you scan a card with the camera, AI reads the details and saves them to the directory, translating cards in other languages so they are easy to understand — a big time-saver at fairs and international meetings.
With Onfik Smart you can send your introduction and digital business card instantly via WhatsApp or a link; the other person views it without installing an app.
